Bare Minimum

It seems like yesterday, I last saw you smile -
But I've been gone a long while.
Guess I'm ok but I'm really just scraping by -
Still trying to learn how to fly.

Feels like I'm sleepwalking everywhere I go.
I'm just amazed nobody knows.
Holding together with duct tape and a prayer
Making my life out of thin air.

The years go flying past
carving notches on my face
and the light in my eyes
must have come from outer space
Do you see where I'm coming from?
I'm just looking for the minimum -

I don't remember just how I got here
The reasons all just disappear
Waiting for some half fast dream that might never come
Pinned all my hopes on the bare minimum.
